Sunday Bangin Brunch… LITTTTTTTT! We had a 230p reservation for my friend’s birthday and at first I didn’t know that we weren’t allowed to go in until the 12p crowd exited and of course the security in the front didn’t explain that to us. Then when we went in the black lady at the front was so rude. Another host who was a Hispanic lady explained how it worked because she could see how rude her coworker was to us. Please find out who that lady was working the front because she needs to take a class on customer service and all that attitude and rolling of the eyes will have people going to the other restaurants nearby(she’s holding the sign next to Star in the picture). We walked two blocks from the parking garage and the restaurants and bars we past by were trying to get us to go in there. But that Hispanic lady was so kind and explained how the time slots for Sunday brunch worked. Yes, we paid our deposits since we had a party of 12.
Anyway, we went in sat down and immediately drink orders were taken by our waiter STAR! She literally was a STAR! This lady needs a raise! If I asked for more water it took her a few seconds to bring it and this 230p brunch was sold out. My French Toast took forever but it was delicious! The twerk contest was so much fun and the bottle service we did for my friends birthday was awesome. The MC’s came over and were fully entertained by our shenanigans! Overall, so much fun! Bypass the rude lady in the front and the not so smart security and I promise you will have a blast! Music was lit too. Started off reggae than hiphop needed with 90’s RnB. Great vibe for sure.
TLDR: 7PM Saturday night, it was empty... and for many reasons. Poor food, worse service, and glaring TVs in your face.
Atmosphere: basic but with TVs everywhere. Distracting and low class.
Service: We were literally the only ones in the restaurant any food took over 40 minutes to be served. Drinks took 10 minutes and never a refill in sight. We had to ask for silverware and got plasticware.
Food: just terrible. Super salty. Not just, I like less salty food. Like take a bite and cough salty. All four of us were dying hungry and were late for a show, otherwise we would have walked out. Also, terrible for vegans. Clearly lots of cross contamination.
Make sure you read the reviews of a place before you show up. It’s my birthday. Waited 30 minutes for service. Was told in order to have mimosas you have to order food. Ordered 4 mimosas received 2 bottles, charged as 4 unlimited mimosas. THEN not told that the place was closing in an hour. So what unlimited mimosas did we have? Y’all charged me for food y’all didn’t have. The place opened at 1pm and closed at 3:30pm. You addressing it with your server isn’t going to change or fix anything. She should’ve been had that training. If y’all told us y’all were closing in 30 minutes why is she advertising unlimited mimosas and not coming to our table to refresh bottles? Yeah y’all got that.
Came here with some friends on a Wednesday night when it was totally dead other than one other table. In spite of how quiet the place was, we were warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The drinks were tasty, and the food was brought out promptly, and tasted awesome. I'll definitely come back here if I'm back in downtown Orlando!
Lets start from the beginning. The restaurant was completely empty, that should’ve have been a sign. Tables were dirty with dishes still on top. Thai tea was good, brown sugar boba too. The crab rangoons tasted old, and very fishy. Ramen was terrible, the egg was over marinated and extremely sour, it was probably bad. They grilled the chicken and put the burnt particles from the grill in the soup. Fried rice was extremely greasy and overly seasoned, super salty and overcooked. I wish we could have walked out. They have a great location, so we were expecting something completely different and better. The cherry on top is that they charge you $60 for food but give you plastic forks
We were immediately greeted by the hostess warmly, and also as the server her service was very good and timely. That’s where the good basically ends. The music was a bit too loud, and mostly pop, rap and hip-hop. The table was wobbly. And l noticed other tables around us had food particles on them (pictured), and we were the only ones there. And the windows were filthy (also pictured). My wife and l did enjoy the appetizers, spring rolls and crab ragoon. My wife did enjoy her fried rice and tofu, and l liked the flavor of the rice. My duck did come out hot, but was a little dry and bland. And the vegetables were not equally hot. Actually lukewarm at best, and the rice was dry. And l almost forgot, they give you plasticware to eat with… I’m sorry, but l am not able to recommend this place to anyone.
Thought it was an Asian restaurant. Boy, did I get the shock of my life!! Anywho, great food, great atmosphere. Loads of fun! We were there for my daughter's 20th birthday, and we had an awesome time.
Hosts and DJ great. Food not bad. Service was awful. You get a 2hr window and it took the waitress 45 min to take our drink orders, meanwhile there's other tables getting food by this time. Then gave us our food individually every 10min. …
